This notice describes Cuehold 1.0 (59), the upcoming release candidate, and cuehold.app. Earlier TestFlight builds may work differently: read the earlier beta privacy notice if you use one of those builds.

What Cuehold keeps locally

Cuehold stores your original captures, saved items, decisions, settings and the local records needed to recognise links to Apple Reminders and Calendar. Shared text, links and screenshot text can become Capture content. Screenshot text is recognised on your device. Cuehold does not require a Cuehold account.

Optional on-device intelligence

If you enable On-Device Intelligence, Apple’s Foundation Models can help interpret or clean up captured text on a supported device. The operating system chooses the available system model. Cuehold checks proposals against your original words; local rules retain control over routing and export.

This version does not send Capture content to a Cuehold AI server or an external AI provider. There is no cloud intelligence fallback. Capture remains available using local rules when intelligence is off, unavailable or a proposal is rejected.

Reminders and Calendar

With your permission, Cuehold reads relevant Reminders and Calendar context to help show what needs attention. Creation requires a separate review and your explicit confirmation. Eligible linked Reminder completion and Undo are also deliberate actions. Saving a capture alone does not create an Apple item.

Apple apps remain the destination for commitments. Your Apple account and sync settings control how Apple stores or syncs those items.

Microphone and speech

The microphone is used when you start Dictate. Supported on-device speech recognition turns your words into text. Cuehold does not send voice Capture to its own speech server. Recognition may need Apple language assets; device and language availability can vary. You can type instead.

Notifications and permissions

Notifications are optional. Cuehold asks for access when the feature needs it, and you can change permissions in system Settings. Access is used for the feature you chose. Denying microphone access does not prevent typed Capture.

Diagnostics you choose to share

Cuehold keeps a bounded, temporary record of content-free technical events in memory. There is no automatic diagnostic-report upload. In Help & Support, you can generate a report locally, preview it and choose a destination in the system share sheet.

The report contains app/build information, coarse device and OS information, permission/availability states and fixed technical result codes. It excludes your captures, screenshots, transcripts, model responses, Calendar and Reminder content, credentials and datastore contents. A protected temporary share file is cleaned up after sharing, with later cleanup attempted if needed. The receiving app controls its copy.

When you contact support

If you email support@cuehold.app, we receive your email address, any name you supply, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to and resolve your request. Avoid sending private captures, Calendar or Reminder content. Redact screenshots first.

Our support retention policy is to delete support correspondence and diagnostic attachments within 90 days after resolution unless a legal obligation requires longer retention. You can request deletion sooner. Email and delivery providers process messages to deliver and store the correspondence; their own copies and backups may follow their retention rules.

This website

cuehold.app is hosted by Vercel. Serving and protecting a website involves technical request data, including IP address, requested page and browser information. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice for its handling and retention.

We have not added advertising trackers, visitor-analytics scripts, a signup form or marketing cookies to this site. Links to TestFlight and other services take you to those services and their privacy terms. Website request data is separate from your locally stored captures.

Your control

Review or remove items through Cuehold’s available actions, turn off On-Device Intelligence, revoke permissions in Settings, and choose whether to share a report. Removing a Cuehold item does not automatically remove an item already created in Apple apps. Manage those items in Reminders or Calendar.

Local data remains until you remove it or the app’s data is removed. Device backups and any copies you deliberately share are controlled separately. We do not promise that removing an app erases backups, Apple items or copies held by another app.

Questions and changes

Contact support@cuehold.app for privacy questions, access or deletion requests about information you sent us. We will update this notice if our practices change. Cuehold is operated by Dillon Monopoli.
